Liverpool, who are more than 20 points behind Premier League's top position, are already thinking about reinforcements for next season, with Ibrahim Afellay, from Barcelona, as well as Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, said to be at the top of their targeted players list.
According to reports, the Reds have already prepared their proposals to present to Barcelona and Real Madrid, in order to guarantee the signing of both players.
25-year-old Afellay, arrived at Camp Nou last season, coming from PSV, but his lack of first-team action could help his exit in the summer, and the Merseyside are said to be monitoring his situation very closely.
Furthermore, the same reports suggest that Liverpool are prepared to pay around £10m for the Dutch player.
As for Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, who is undergoing his second season at Santiago Bernabeu, he is also said to be in Liverpool's priority list of targeted players, even though his transfer to the Premier League does not seem that probable, once he is one of the merengues key figures.
